Floors are finished

The finished floors look great. 

The old flooring downstairs is being sanded. Lots of sanding happening at the shop today so I will stay clear to keep out of the way. It will probably be to dark to take any tonight by the time they leave. Hopefully tomorrow I will get good pictures.

Just had to share

There is more to remodeling the house in getting ready to open a quilt shop. There are all the sample quilts that need to be put together.

Hardwood flooring and repair

Lots of good things happening with the floor today. Space filled in around the chimney. New flooring being put down where the old tile was pulled up. They got halfway across the floor today. It's looking good.

Kitchen floor

Kitchen tile had been completed. The tile has been grouted and we can put the sink and mini fridge in very soon.🤓

The kitchen area will be getting ceramic tile. The old flooring has been pulled up and whatever is salvageable will be used to fill in other areas of the main floor downstairs.

Floor sanding

The floor sanding has begun.  This room is almost finished. The edges need to be done then the sealant can go on.

Clean up so we are ready when they come to sand and refinish the floors

Door

The new door is in. I just love it soon we can use it🤓

The stair railings were covered with white paint. I have been sanding them in between painting. After a lot of sanding I have got most of the paint off.

One sporty blue wall three paper lantern walls finished along with one ginger, three paper lantern, also one sage and three paper lantern and the final upstairs room three ginger and one paper lantern. So all the upstairs is completely painted. Floor sanding starts on Monday. 

 Seeing the progress is exiciting I can hardly wait to  have the floors sanded and refinished.

Today I painted a little bit more. Two rooms upstairs have three yellow walls with one blue accent wall and the other with a brown accent wall. I only painted as high as I could reach. Which means the rooms are only painted three quarters of the way up. Gary will do the edging by the ceiling then I will finish. In a few days or so  we will roll on the final coat of paint and all but one room and the bathroom will be freshly painted.
